Advice & Support for recruiting and managing your PA’s

One of our support managers will meet with you and offer verbal and written advice on how to self advertise for a PA, Short list and interview your PA, producing contracts of employment and responsibilities of being an employer, HMRC requirements, and the payroll service requirements. We will supply you with templates for the various stages that you will cover while you complete the recruitment and management process. We will supply you with interview questions, reference request letters to complete, DBS application and print copy, generic employment contracts and supply a list of services that are relevant to the various other processes you may encounter.

Cost: £110 up to 3 PA’s, £30 per PA after. DBS check is £65 per PA. 

Family Support Wales recruitment plan for your PA’s

We offer a complete package of support from initial assessment to help us match the right PA’s to you, your needs and personality. We advertise via our website, social media and Indeed (Other adverts including local news paper etc are extra) We draw up a job and person specification, we send application forms to the various candidates, we share applicant’s CV’s with you to shortlist, we interview at our office (we encourage you to join us with this part of the process). We send a confirmation of employment letter and arrange for them to agree employment with a signed contract of employment and support you to set up a payment plan from your own Direct Payment bank account. Cost: £180 (plus £35 if additional advertising is required) £65 per DBS. This cost is for up to 3 PA’s and interviewing up to 5. Any additional interviews and PA’s are priced individually

Family Support Wales Personal Assistant Management Service including our Banking Management System Service

We offer a complete PA management system that covers all aspects of employment after you have selected your PA. We will set up the successful candidates on our Payroll System and Training Matrix and complete every aspect of employment needed for HMRC, National Insurance Contributions, DBS update service or reminder. We will also maintain your employees training record.

This service also includes:

  • Paying your PA on a weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or calendar monthly basis
  • Hours to be paid with you prior to payroll
  • PA’s receiving payslips in line with their pay
  • Liaise with HMRC if complications or queries arise
  • Complete P45’s if and when a PA leaves your employment
  • Offering pension advise and enrollment if needed
  • Offering a payroll advice for holiday and sickness.
  • Setting up payment systems between the relevant banks
  • Holding paper and electronic files for compliance and employment/payroll history.
  • Setting up liability insurance

Cost: Initial set up cost of £50.00, and £5.00 weekly there after, for up to 5 PA’s. 6 PA’s and over are additional £0.50p per employee and £5.00 set up fee. There may be additional weekly costs for over 6 PA’s in respect of payroll costs. 

Additional cover supplying PA’s for when your PA is on holiday or sick.

Family Support Wales can help in times of crisis. If your PA is off sick we can help cover while they are off. We can also supply cover for when your PA is on holiday. The cost of this varies according to your package of support. Please call us to see how we can put in a plan for the times when you are left with no support.

Self Management System and support

We can also help you set up your own process and management system that will allow you to take control of the complete process of paying and ongoing management of your PA staff. This includes liability insurance, HMRC advice and set up, payslips etc.
